They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

It's in the title, and they repeat it a million times in the book, but when they literally die at the end I was still not okay. Buckle up.

They Both Die At The End follows the story of two young men who get the call. Death-Cast is like a terrible phone company that calls you to tell you that you're going to die that day. Mateo and Rufus get the call, and their lives change forever. Mateo is a quiet guy who has always been afraid of living. When he gets the call, he wants to change that. Rufus has had a rough life (ending up in foster care after a tragic accident, losing his family, him and his girlfriend breaking-up) but has finally found himself with his friends. When they both get the call, they each download the Last Friends App, which is kind of like Tinder (non-romantically) but for people who are about to die. Rufus and Mateo find each other, and have the best last day possible. They push each other to get out of their comfort zones in such unique ways. They find themsevles within each other, and it's so beautfiful to watch.

Let me tell you, this book HURT. It's in the title, they say it over a million thousand times, but it still HURTS!! Watching Mateo become such a stronger person because of Rufus was so incredible. Watching Rufus come to terms with himself and his guilt was also beautiful. The way this novel was written was also super cool: we see a lot of different stories but they all connect together in the end (even if it sucks). Overall, I really liked this book!
