As if just starting a blog and trying to get an audience isn't hard enough, but now you have to keep up with Instagram, Pinterest, keeping engagement up, and more. Editing photos, making your blog and your Instagram feed reflect you, and coming up with original content can make anyone go crazy. The list of things doesn't stop. Once you get comfortable and form some sort of schedule, you're thrown off your path by a brand new beast: Liketoknow.it.

This app scared me when I first started off. I didn't think I had what it took to even get accepted into their influencer program, and then when I did, I was so overwhelmed that I didn't even touch it for the first few months. Now that I have somewhat of a handle on it, I want to talk about my favorite tips, tricks, and what I've learned with this app!

1. Read the emails!

The emails might seem like a lot, but I promise that they give the best information! Each

week they send out a big email about what's trending, the top performing products, what

shoppers are looking for, key words, and more. These emails are so helpful in making your captions and making sure that you are including key words, showing off what's trending, and just getting you more views and followers.

They also email you your monthly goals. Each month, LTK expects you to increase in follower count by 10, make some sort of profit, and create 5 posts. After 6 months, if you haven't really been reaching these goals, they will evaluate your account and determine if you should stay on the platform. This is very intimidating, but they make it easy to track and work with through their emails! The emails are super helpful and shouldn't be discarded before opening them and checking them out!

2. Using the Schedule Post Option!

One thing that I struggled with was consistently posting and making content. I felt the pressure of having to sit down each day and either take outfit pictures or make canva images or go hunt all of my favorite apps for sales.

This was before I learned about the post scheduler.

This little trick saved my butt. Each Sunday, I dedicate a little bit of time to plan out all of my posts, tag all the images, and schedule them for the right times and dates, and boom! I'm done for the week. It's so convinent and helpful, and it also helps me plan out my Instagram feed for the week! This option not only helps me to plan, but it also allows me to know that I have a weeks worth of content ready to go!

3. Tags!

For each post that you make, LTK makes you add a few things to the post, but it also allows you to add tags. These tags are great! You have home inspo, outfits, seasonal, under 50, sale alert, and more. This will help your posts get noticed! You can only do three tags, so make sure that they really encompass what your image is all about!

They also allow you to @ other LTK databases, which is huge! When I make my posts, I usually @ all four of them. This helps your post go to these other bases and it allows you to really get seen. Putting tags and using the @ features are super helpful and are really a great way to boost your posts and profile.

4. Promote yourself!

This is a huge one! Tell your followers about your LTK! Let them know that they can shop your looks/Instagram. Make sure that the link is easy to get to. I have mine in my Linktree, and my Linktree is in my bio.

A tiny tip: I have found that once I gain a mutual following with another blogger, I'll message them and ask about supporting each other on LTK. This has gotten me very far. Supporting each other on all different platforms is huge and it helps make that mutual bond stronger! This not only allows for you to make new friends, but it helps to increase your network!

LTK can be tricky and scary when you first start, but it can really be a great way to kick start your influencer dreams. A steady income from LTK can really help, and it's always fun to see what your followers liked and what they bought. If you were like me, don't worry. Just take a deep breath, work your way through it, and you'll do great!
