Bloodlines by Richelle Mead *Mild Spoilers*

It's been a HOT minute since I wrote a book review. It's not because I haven't been reading, but because I thought that instead of doing one review per book, I would just go through the series and write a massive review on the whole series! Smart, right? Maybe?
Bloodlines is the continuation of Mead's other series: Vampire Academy. If you haven't read Vampire Academy, I would definitely recommend it before you jump into these books. It'll give you a lot of background information, and they're also just super good too. The first book sets you up with Sydney, an Alchemist, who has been put into a mission to watch over the vampire princess Jill, and her cohort, to keep her safe from a crazy group of rebels who want her dead. Mead has a great way of just throwing you in right away. As you go through the books, you watch a romance develop between Sydney and Adrian (he's so dreamy I love him so much), you get to see Sydney question everything she's always though was right, see her develop friendships with some of the best people, and just her overall character development is so beautiful to watch. I think each character really grows up and it's really heart warming, especially if you've been with them since VA.
They are all action packed, fast paced books and they are pretty easy reads. I gave 5 stars to the first five books, but I gave 4 stars to the last one. I personally think that the last one was a little rushed and I think that the whole series really could have ended at book 5! Either way, the whole series was great and my book boyfriend Adrian was just as perfect, if not better, in these books than he was in VA (which is really saying something). These are definitely a comfort series for me and they just make me super happy!!
Overall: 9/10
Books: 6 in total
Trigger Warnings: Mind control, death, alcohol, drugs, mild torture, eating disorder
