If you know me, you know I am obsessed with podcasts AND that my favorite podcast is none other than My Favorite Murder. I have been listening to them for about 3 years now and they bring me such comfort and joy. They are also the reason that I'm majoring in Forensic Psychology...so thanks Karen and Georgia (the likeliehood of them ever seeing this is very slim)!
In their growing success, they decided to write a book and I have to say, it's pretty amazing. Though there are a lot of themes and catch phrases and inside jokes from the podcast used frequently throughout the novel, you don't really need to be a listener to follow along (though I encourage you to start listening if you don't already)!! Karen and Georgia each take turns talking about events in their lives that helped them get to where they are today. It's extremely heart warming, very vulnerable, and hilarious. This book was written exactly like how they talk, so I could hear them in my head, which made some of the sections even funnier.
The book focuses on their lives, their greatest moments, and of course their worst. It is also mixed in with incredible fan art and little footnotes that are hilarious. It's a great and easy read that really makes you appreciate those around you, reminds you to be thankful for the things you have, and to stay sexy and not get murdered.
If you want to keep up with all the books I love, join my "book club" and lets be friends! I have also linked these books so you can shop with me: https://linktr.ee/Cares
