The Couple Next Door Review!

The Couple Next Door, written by Shari Lapena, is a fast paced thriller kind of book. This was once again gifted to me by a close friend, and I have to say that I got caught up in it very quickly! The drama starts right away in Chapter One. It starts with a dinner party that is incredibly awkward and the mood is already off. It then takes a quick turn into child kidnapping, murder, secrets, and hidden plans. There were definitely A LOT of twists (some that I saw coming, some that I was definitely taken aback by). The plot kept me on my toes, and that was an ending I was not expecting at all!

All in all, this was a fun read! When I take a plunge into thrillers, it usually falls around Stephen King genre, so it was nice reading a thriller that didn't scare me half to death the whole time! It was a quick read for me, and the plot was easy enough to follow along. One thing I did enjoy was that throughout the book you were reading it from the different perspectives of the characters. You got to know all the fun little secrets before everyone else did!
